     About Driggs and Teton Valley

            Located on the west side of the Teton Range the Teton Valley enjoys a rural atmosphere with a combination of farms, ranches, small towns, recreational developments, and second homes. The valley is 3-15 miles wide and 35 miles long with mountain ranges on three sides offering a wide variety of recreational pursuits. Operating since 1971 the Grand Targhee Ski and Summer Resort, only 13 miles to the east, provides a base for all kinds of outdoor sports and recently the Teton Valley has been developing into a golfing mecca with the addition of the Teton Springs Golf and Casting Club, only 9 miles to the south near Victor. All this is added to the outdoor activities of hunting, fishing, hiking, backcountry skiing, and mountain biking.

            Jackson Hole, an international destination resort and community with complete amenities, is located on the east side of the Tetons, and Yellowstone National Park is easily accessible by driving north. A better central location for fly fishing could not be found with the Teton, Henry’s Fork, South Fork, Snake, Green, and Madison all within easy driving distance.

            Commercial air service and rental cars are available either in Jackson Hole or Idaho Falls, both 1 hour away. The Driggs municipal airport features a 7,300-foot paved runway with support services (including rental cars) and hangers for private pilots, both propeller and jets.
